Hello, I’m Jong Kim (김종은), a designer.
I have a passion for User Experience Design and Front End Development. I also love coding, which I decided to go back to school and learn a little more. I was born in South Korea and moved to the State 9 years ago. I have always loved solving problems and numbers. Before my passion for design had come about, I graduated from George Mason University majoring Finance and had a dream of becoming a stock trader. I had a great internship opportunity in junior year of my college, and I was able to work for marketing team: creating flyers, banners, and digital advertisements, and I decided to learn more about graphic design. So my career journey of designer began!

Here are some fun facts about me and my life.
Korea to USA
My family immigrated to the U.S. when I was 16 years old. It was tough adapted to new environment and learn new language. In retrospect, It was a precious experience and I learn that do something you really like.
Finance
From the university, I studied Finance especially interested in stock market. Before my passion for design had come about, I graduated from George Mason University majoring Finance and had a dream of becoming a stock trader. I changed my career path to become a graphic designer rather than becoming a financial advisor.
Design
I started graphic design in high school taking few classes. After several years later, I had a great internship opportunity in junior year of my college, During working as intern, I was able to work for marketing team: creating flyers, banners, and digital advertisements, and I decided to learn more about graphic design.v
